A written estimate before travel.
Included travel
The first 60 minutes of outbound travel and the first 60 minutes of return travel are included in the selected service price.
Billable travel time
Every minute beyond that included hour in each direction is billed at $2.75 per minute, equivalent to $165 per hour. Counted time can include driving, scheduled flight or rail time, and ground transportation between the arrival point and the restaurant. Ordinary waiting time is excluded unless a client-requested itinerary or delay makes it working or committed travel time and the written estimate says otherwise.
Direct expenses
Pre-approved airfare, lodging, parking, tolls, rental vehicles, baggage fees, and similar direct trip costs are reimbursed separately at actual cost. McBride will not book travel until the client accepts the written time assumptions and estimated expenses.
Colorado example
Assume each direction includes a one-hour drive between McBride and the airport, a two-hour flight, and a thirty-minute drive between the destination airport and the restaurant. Total round-trip travel is seven hours. The first hour in each direction is included, leaving five billable travel hours: $825, plus approved airfare and other direct expenses. A four-hour workshop would remain $660, making the professional-time total $1,485 before direct travel expenses.
Remote alternative
If on-site travel does not fit the budget, Microsoft Teams remains available for one-time consultations, coaching, working sessions, and portions of an engagement when the scope can be handled remotely.
No surprise charge: The booking form collects the service location so McBride can prepare a written travel estimate. The final service location, route assumptions, billable travel time, direct costs, and approval are documented before travel.
