Why work with me?

I have managed the restaurant problems I now help owners solve.

I'm Josh McBride, founder of McBride Restaurant Consulting LLC. Every engagement and toolkit follows the McBride Operating Method: Define the problem, Verify the evidence, Prioritize the controllable, Implement with clear ownership, and Measure whether the change survives a real shift.

Built through restaurant leadership

My experience is operational, not theoretical.

I began in franchise management at 18, including responsibility for two Subway locations. After college, I returned to restaurant leadership as a Panera general manager and later helped lead the grand opening of Secret Burger Kitchen's third restaurant in Kirkland, Washington.

Across that work, I have been responsible for restaurants operating at approximately $3 million to $5 million in annual sales volume and teams ranging from 10 to 45 people. I have developed 15 internal promotions while working to grow sales, reduce avoidable cost, improve execution, and build stronger leaders.

Those numbers matter because they represent the environment behind my advice: real labor plans, real food-cost pressure, real manager development, real peak periods, and real follow-through after the meeting ends.

The McBride Operating Method

A practical method that documents the work.

I will not promise a result I cannot control. I will give you a clear scope, evidence-backed priorities, practical tools, and a defined way to measure implementation.

01

Define the problem

I turn a broad concern into one clear operating question, an intended result, and boundaries the team can understand.

02

Verify the evidence

I separate what the numbers, observations, and recent examples support from what is still an assumption.

03

Prioritize the controllable

I focus attention on the few operating details most likely to affect the result instead of creating an unmanageable list.

04

Implement and measure

Actions receive an owner, deadline, evidence requirement, and follow-up check so we can see whether the change held during real shifts.

Why the work matters

I believe strong businesses should support strong lives.

As a husband and father, I believe restaurant results should come from clear systems, developed leaders, and sustainable execution—not constant chaos or avoidable burnout. Profit matters, but so does building an operation that can support the people responsible for creating it.

Experienced outside operating support

Get market-level leadership without adding another executive salary.

Get experienced operational guidance, manager development, and implementation support without hiring another full-time executive. We can begin with a one-time consultation, then decide whether a working session, coaching, implementation support, a digital toolkit, or a longer partnership is actually justified.
